I have the hour to address Your
Excellency again on the subject of the Pirates concerning whom information has been received from the accomplice, Chintão, requesting that Your Excellency will take measures for the capture of those villains, and their adequate punishment as an Example to others. I have to request that Chintão may
be returned for further
Examination.
It is probably in consequence of the impunity until the present time of those robbers that an attack was made by a hundred and fifty armed pirates on the warehouse of a Merchant at West Point.
